History is the study of the past, information is exaggerated, some of it is true it all depends on the channel the information is passed. This is repeated until it becomes true information even though the information passed is not true. Not all historical data we learn is true, some are based on myths. The myth that Napoleon was short while in fact he was slightly taller than average. The cartoonist who drew him drew him as a short man. That is why up to now, he is still said to be a short man.

Workers were buried according to the Egyptians beliefs, head pointing to the west and feet to the east. If they were slaves, they would not have been given such honorable burials.

Corsets have been in fashion since the olden days, belief was that the corsets were to torture women and deform bodies. These corsets were used to support backs when females labored and exercised. Corsets are still used today when exercising to lose waist or drop a few pounds. During working hours, corsets help with back support and also help to improve posture. The idea of ladies not working until World War 1, women worked before the World Wars, during World Wars and will continue to do so. Females work harder compared to men and have more work compared to men.

The idea that Vikings were dirty people while in real sense they took pride in cleanliness. Vikings men would dedicate a day of the week to clean themselves properly, women were even attracted to them. Men were admired by girls from other states because of their extraordinary grooming and cleanliness. History has myths because when it is transferred from one channel to another, it is distorted. An advantage of learning history is that jobs are available and can lead to all kinds of careers, influential leaders share a common experience of studying history. History helps historians in understanding the world, you learn how governments, different societies carry out activities, it means you have different perspectives concerning life.
